Every stone tells the story of its setting.
Ian Barnard has refined the art of diamond setting for close to a decade, creating work that stands at the intersection of engineering and devotion. Each setting is executed by hand, under microscope, to tolerances invisible to the eye yet essential to beauty.
Ian Barnard is a master diamond setter known for his uncompromising precision and disciplined artistry.
Before dedicating himself to fine jewellery, he worked in an industry defined by precision under pressure, an early training ground for the patience and control his craft now demands.
Trained at the Alexandre Diamond Setting School in Belgium, Ian refined his skills at Graff Diamonds in London before establishing his own atelier in the United Kingdom.
Today, Atelier Barnard operates from Sóller, Mallorca. A quiet base for work that travels globally. Ian continues to collaborate with fine jewellery houses and collectors across Europe, bringing the same focus and integrity to every piece that leaves his bench.
His work is guided by a single principle: precision is an act of respect : for the material, the maker, and the wearer.
